2024 BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe is an upcoming car in the United States. The BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe is equipped with an 8-chamber M TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that produces 390 kW (530 hp).
The Adaptive M suspension makes it possible to change the damper attributes to suit what’s going on, extending the elements of ride and comfort. In addition to the standard COMFORT setting for greater ride comfort, the SPORT program offers a firmer damper setting, and with SPORT+, the vehicle can be used in the field.
The dynamic plan of the new BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe is an affirmation of fearless activity. It flaunts a revived front sash, with a bright kidney grille and LED headlights that greet you with pure richness.
The high level on the outside spells out another plan language for a four-door luxury sports vehicle and is a statement of dynamic execution and striking presence. In the lodge, the M’s striking highlights and luxurious sophistication make the atmosphere lively and selective.
The all-new BMW Live Cockpit Professional flaunts driver-driven controls that propel every driver toward the meeting, alongside a liberal 10.25″ touchscreen display and a sophisticated 12.3″ instrument group.
The different features incorporate Bluetooth networking, DAB radio, cell phone similarity, remote charging, and amplifier frame and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Explicit Heads-up* M display with configurable items centered around data important for energetic driving, for example, transformation counter with advance notification range and shift light, and item pointer.
2024 BMW M8 Review: BMW M8 Competition
The astonishing acceleration provided by the BMW M8 617-hp twin-turbo V-8 is powerful enough to make the car reach 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds.
At 10.7 seconds the M8 hits 129 mph as it covers a quarter mile of road. That’s faster than a 710-hp Ferrari 488 Pista from something with a rear seat that weighs over two tons. Chalk to all-wheel drive traction and a superb engine.
The M8 is blazingly fast, but its smooth delivery of crime speed and its sprinting stability into the road makes fast driving feel almost responsible. Available as a coupe and convertible (the four-door M8 Gran Coupe reviewed separately), the M8’s cockpit is well laid out and uses a large infotainment screen to handle navigation or audio selection.
However, the back seat is not a practical space. As one of the most affordable cars that will take you to 10-second quarter miles every time you try, the M8 is a big coupe with even bigger performance figures.
Only a few changes have been made to the BMW M8 for 2023. The kidney grille has been redesigned a bit and is now illuminated, and each M8 receives a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen.
2024 BMW M8 Specs
As far as we know Acceleration is like the Starship Enterprise jumping to warp speed. In our M8 Competition coupe testing, we recorded 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds and the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 125 mph.
There is so much power. The brakes felt just as strong and stopped our car within 106 feet of 60 mph. They are also easy and smooth around the city. It’s a bigger and heavier car than most cars in its class, but you wouldn’t tell from these numbers.
The M8 provides extremely agile handling, tracking through curves with great grip and confidence. The steering doesn’t have quite the engagement of other sports cars of this ilk, but the M8 is responsive and up to your point.
When you’re not trying to glide into orbit, the M8’s effortless power and smooth gearshift transmission feel downright luxurious.

2024 BMW M8 Redesign
Do we expect the changes that BMW brings to the new generation 2024 BMW M8 with the Standard 8 series too pedestrian for you? BMW M8 2023 could be the solution.
Positioned as BMW’s flagship, the M8 takes everything that makes a regular 8 Series great and elevates it to a new level of performance. It comes exclusively with a 617-horsepower turbocharged 4.4-liter V8.
It is also equipped with adaptive suspension and a sport-tuned all-wheel-drive system. You can even opt for rear-wheel drive mode if you like sideways as much as you like forward.
2024 BMW M8 Interior
The rich interior of the new BMW 8 Series Gran Coupé exudes tailored luxury and fun liveliness. It accompanies a multifunctional seat for the driver and front traveler that offers the prospect of a complete makeover and excellent seating comfort and safety.
Along these lines, the seat can be ideally adjusted to individual needs with changes in electric backrest width, variable lumbar assist, and manual seat depth changes. ‘CraftedClarity’ glass applications involve handcrafted glass components that enhance the interior. Likewise, the subtlety of the item selector switch, BMW Controller, and Start/Stop button are made of fine gems.
Remotely interface your phone to your BMW, thanks to Apple CarPlay Setup. Appreciate consistent access to your substance through the Central Information Display, instrument group, and free front and center consoles.
The BMW M8 Gran Coup 2024 comes with adjustable ambient lighting, a 12.1-inch digital gauge cluster, heated and ventilated front seats, a Nappa leather-covered dashboard, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and wireless charging. The cabin provides plenty of room for front-seat passengers but makes those in the small back seats feel like second-class citizens.
Those who want an M8 and need to regularly drop off more than two people will want to consider the much more roomy four-door M8 Gran Coupe. We managed to fit five carry-on luggage in the trunk of a regular 8-series coupe, so we expect the M8 to provide the same amount of storage.
Located in the center of the dashboard on each M8 is a 12.3-inch touchscreen that serves as the centerpiece of the BMW infotainment system. The main display is equipped with a rotary controller and physical buttons on the center console.
The interface features crisp graphics and fast response, but some menus are very congested and require drivers to take their eyes off the road.
However, the system’s voice commands work well, and can even be selected with gesture controls. Desirable standard features include Apple CarPlay (but not Android Auto), a subscription-based Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

2024 BMW M8 Exterior
The standard M Sport exhaust produces an impressive rumbling sound and is perfect for high-performance or track driving. The tone changes dynamically as the driver adjusts between Efficient, Sport, and Sport+ driving modes.
When you need something smoother – like driving on a quiet suburban road – just switch to Silent Mode. 6-piston fixed front calipers, single-piston floating rear caliper configuration complete with enhanced cooling capability and lightweight construction.
Optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes are also available, providing increased fade resistance, durability, and greater weight savings.
2024 BMW M8 Engine
The M8 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 that produces 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. The mighty manufacturer is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a rear all-wheel drive system that can release power to the front axle.
We’ve spent some time behind the wheel of the M8 coupe and convertible competition where we admire their smooth behavior and the responsiveness of the current powertrain.
When we plugged our test kit into the 4251-pound M8 Comp coupe, we were blown away by its blazing-fast acceleration, hitting 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds.
While there’s an exhaust note that isn’t quite as exciting as rivals from Mercedes-AMG, the BMW is very fast, and the automatic is very responsive. While the all-wheel-drive system is meant to provide a rear-drive sensation, we found that provoking power slides should be left for the safety of an empty parking lot or race track.
The M8 didn’t penalize us on regular roads, thanks to a submissive ride that belies its track-focused capabilities.
However, don’t mistake his pleasure for weakness. The M8’s chassis has excellent grip levels and sends some feedback to the thick-framed steering wheel. The M8’s combination of speed and agility makes it an attractive partner whenever the road opens or turns.
Unfortunately, more than half of the coupe’s 4251-pound weight is above the front axle, which could contribute to its reluctance to spin more freely.
2024 BMW M8 MPG
The M8 coupe and convertible are expected to be equally fuel efficient in the city and on the road. Meaning they are all expected to get 15 mpg city and 21 mpg highway.
While we haven’t tested any M8s on our 75 mph highway fuel-efficient route, we will evaluate real-world mpg once we have the chance to do so. For more information on the M8’s fuel economy, visit the EPA website.
